Acceptance and Apprehension

Well MDS (Mennonite Disaster Service) has accepted us to come work with them for the months of November and December 2008.  Even though this is super exciting we're a little unsure about how this will all play out.  The kids will do fine and God will make a way - that is what the faithful part of us knows but you know how in reality our minds don't always believe our hearts right?

So ya, we'll be packing lightly and we're unsure if we're driving, flying or walking... we'll get there somehow.  We will be 'stationed' in Newton, Texas... I know - you've never heard of it.   We googled it and were amazed at how backwoods Texas this is.  It's about 4 hours to our friends in Hammond, Louisiana so we're hoping we have a chance to cruise down there for at least a couple weekends while we're out. 

We covet your prayers as we learn more of where we will be and as we look to the future to see God leading us in the mission world.  We have felt for some time that God wants something "more" for our family and we're just exploring that in faith knowing He will bless the path if we continue to move forward in Him!
